PLEASE ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
- DO YOU SPEND TOO MUCH OF YOUR DAY PUTTING OUT FIRES?
- DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE ALWAYS TRYING TO CATCH UP?
- ARE YOU BEHIND ON COLLECTIONS BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO BUSY TO
FOLLOW-UP THE WAY YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD?
If you answered "YES" to any of those questions it might just be your own fault. So many practitioners make the ongoing investment in staff wages hoping to dig themselves out of their hole. Next thing you see is they are busier than ever doing all they did before and trying to find work to "keep the staff busy" too.
Here is the "Perfect" solution to your dilemma:
Send your staff to the PAA and PTT programs! Imagine the following scenario after your staff attends either or both programs...
You wake up and get up when you're ready, go for your morning coffee, and arrive at the office feeling fresh and relaxed. Next, you spend a few minutes reviewing well-organized files prepared by your Administrative Assistant, with your Tax Technician, answering the Tech's questions and giving direction.
After your meeting with your Tax Technician, you proceed to the files for today's appointments. As usual, some appointments are for in-process cases and some are for new prospective clients. Because the files are orderly and the status of each case is clearly noted by your Tax Technician; your review time is minimal. Needed information is listed along with the Tech's observations. Additionally, your Administrative Assistant has updated and noted the fee status; so you know who to ask for a payment during your meeting. Further; for the prospective clients, the Administrative Assistant has entered the pre-interview notes in the file and created the Tax Tools file.
Sounds like heaven doesn't it? You're not scrambling around trying to remember where you are on each job, you can have a productive client meeting with just a brief review of the file your Tech has kept up to date and organized. The client is impressed with your efficiency and makes a mental note to refer you to his friend who also has a tax problem.
